Jan Thaulow Nielsen

Danish artist Jan Thaulow Nielsen creates tactile, atmospheric abstract paintings where layers of colour, texture and light unfold into sensory, imagined worlds. Moving between abstraction and the familiar, his works explore places where landscape, emotion and imagination begin to merge. Light runs through his work as a recurring force – appearing as horizons, reflections, openings and passages into something unknown. A sense of another world is never far away: somewhere beyond the horizon, beneath the surface, or hidden within the painting itself.
